Each tapestry is derived from a week in February 2026. The form and layout is directly taken from my personal and work calendar. In March of 2026, I crocheted the tapestries, and then placed them in my garden. Over the next six months, I observed how each tapestries began to break down and decay. It includes proposals that further restrict the rights of women and LGBTQ people, roll back climate initiatives, and give the president dictator-levels of power, just to name a few. One of the proposals that stuck out to me was a list of words and phrases that are to be censored from government: “The next conservative President must make the institutions of American civil society hard targets for woke culture warriors.
